You have no idea how completely this issue plagues my existence!
It's like, not an option. It is grammar. ABIDE. Says the person who says "like" like, every two seconds.NOT THE ISSUE.
I had to look up "Oxford Comma" to find out what the hell you were talking about. You know, I used to use the things all the time until I realized that they're redundant AND pointless.
You don't get to decide these things. Grammar is not an option.
I completely agree. NOT AN OPTION.This is probably why we are friends.
No one at my work uses them. At first I thought they were all grammatically retarded until I found out it is optional. NO IT'S NOT!I hate, despise, and loathe grammatical errors.Hmph.

"There is no global consensus among writers or editors on the use of the serial comma. Most authorities on American English recommend its use, but it is not so frequently used in British English"-WikiSo do you consider yourself "American" or British"? Personally, I like to spell 'colour' with a 'u'.
And you probably call it gas and not petrol, you hypocrite.
The "OC," as I like to call it, is what we were taught in school, so... it's what I go by too!
